No. Pakistani nationals do not need a permit for Hunza, Karimabad, Aliabad, Skardu town, or Gilgit. A CNIC is recommended at GB checkposts for identification.
How do I apply for an NOC for Gilgit-Baltistan?
Foreign nationals apply through a registered Pakistani tour operator. The operator submits to GB Home Department in Gilgit. Processing: 7–21 days. Required for areas beyond Sost (Khunjerab), all major treks, and restricted zones.
Do I need a drone permit in Pakistan?
Yes. All drone flights require a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan (CAA). Apply 3+ weeks before travel. Forbidden zones: within 5 km of airports, military installations, China border, and Khunjerab Pass.
