How the estimate is built
Numbers come from Pixistan contributors travelling in 2025 and 2026. A budget day covers a guesthouse room, shared jeep or public bus, chai-and-daal meals and one paid entry. A mid-range day covers a small hotel room, a shared 4x4, one restaurant meal and two entries. A comfort day covers a heritage guesthouse, a private car with driver and a full-day guide.

Common questions
How much does a week in Hunza cost in 2026?+
A budget trip runs roughly PKR 7,000 to 10,000 per person per day (guesthouse, shared jeep, chai-and-daal meals). Mid-range sits around PKR 14,000 to 18,000. A comfort trip with a private car and heritage guesthouse is PKR 25,000 and up per person per day.
Are these prices per person or per group?+
The calculator's per-day figure is per person. The total multiplies by the number of travellers you set, since stay and transport get cheaper per head as the group grows in the mid-range and comfort tiers.
What is not included in the estimate?+
International flights, visa fees and tips are not included. Northern-area permits (roughly PKR 500 to 2,000) and national-park entry fees (PKR 40 to 400 for Pakistani nationals; USD-equivalent for foreigners) are also outside the estimate.
Can I pay for guesthouses and jeeps in USD?+
Most guesthouses and jeep operators price in PKR and prefer cash. Cards work at chain hotels in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. Bring some cash for the north — ATMs in Passu, Sost and Fairy Meadows are unreliable.
